Are live captions an extra?+
Live captions are included as standard with our live stream productions. Tell us about additional requirements such as Auslan interpreting, translated captions or audio description so we can scope those with you.
Can viewers turn captions off?+
Yes. Each viewer can switch captions on or off using the player’s CC, Captions or Settings control. Turning them off on one device does not change what anyone else sees.
Will captions be available on every social platform?+
Caption controls vary between destinations. If you are streaming to several platforms, tell us which ones matter to your audience. We confirm the caption setup for each destination during planning.
Can you help with specific accessibility requirements?+
Yes. Talk to your producer early about the people attending and what they need. Accessibility includes more than captions, so we agree the right approach for the broadcast, presentations, participation and replay.
Are live captions always word perfect?+
Live captions can contain errors and a short delay. Clear microphones, speaker names and advance terminology help. If your event needs a particular captioning method or accuracy standard, include that in the brief.
