Councillors vote. The community watches.
In NSW, council meetings and meetings of committees made up only of councillors must be livestreamed and recorded, with specified exceptions, and the recordings must stay online for the rest of the council term or 12 months, whichever is longer. Other states set their own rules. Viewers don’t need voting entitlements: the vote happens in the chamber.

Each meeting’s recording is saved and published as a replay, named with the meeting and date so residents can find it, for as long as your rules require.
Closed sessions

Do residents need to register?+
No. Public council meetings can be open to anyone with the link. Registration is available for other meetings if you want it.
How long are recordings kept?+
As long as your rules require. In NSW, that’s the rest of the council term or 12 months, whichever is longer.
Can councillors vote through the platform?+
Council votes happen in the chamber under your meeting procedures. The stream shows them; viewers don’t vote.
