Two audiences. One production plan.
A hybrid event combines a physical gathering with online participation. The room needs sound and screens; remote viewers need a clear broadcast and joining experience. Two-way contributions add another layer. Confirm the required interaction before settling the AV and streaming plan.
01
Hybrid event AV, planned with your venue
Ask the venue what microphones, audio outputs, screens, lighting and internet are available. Then agree who supplies and operates each part. The sound heard in the room and the sound sent to the stream may need separate treatment. A venue technical brief helps avoid gaps between suppliers.
02
Remote questions and presenters
Decide whether online questions are written, spoken or both. A remote speaker needs to hear the room without their own voice returning as an echo. A moderator needs a clear way to collect questions and bring people into the conversation. These choices affect rehearsals, routing and staffing.
03
Working with a hybrid conference agency
If an agency manages your conference, JPC coordinates the live production within that wider plan. Establish who owns the running order, presenter contact, room AV, streaming platform and attendee support. Include setup, sound checks and the transition between sessions in the schedule.

How is a hybrid event different from a live stream?+
A stream can simply let people watch. A hybrid event may also require online people to interact with the room. Define the level of participation you want so the technical plan matches it.
Can you work with our existing AV supplier?+
Discuss the supplier and equipment already booked when briefing JPC. We can agree the production interfaces and responsibilities before the event, including audio feeds, screen outputs and who operates each system.
Can an AGM use a hybrid format?+
An AGM production needs a clear brief for both viewing and participation. Voting, proxies and member verification require specialist provision. Those requirements need to be addressed separately from the video broadcast.
