Understand the voting messages
What each message in the voting panel means, and what to do.
These are the messages you might see while voting at a formal meeting, and what they mean.
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| “Voting opens when the chair opens each resolution.” | Voting hasn't started yet. Keep the page open. |
| “Voting on this resolution has closed.” | You were too late for that one. |
| “A vote has already been recorded for this entitlement on this resolution.” | You, or your proxy, already voted. |
| “Vote recorded by your proxy.” | Your proxy voted for you on this resolution. |
| “Vote recorded on a paper ballot.” | Your vote on this one was made on paper at the venue. |
| “This venue code has already been used or has expired.” | Ask the check-in desk for a new QR code. |
| “This venue code isn't linked to a vote. Please see the check-in desk.” | Ask the check-in desk for help. |
| “Sign in with the email address on the member register to vote.” | You're not signed in, or you used a different email. |
| “This voting link can't be used” | The link has been used, has expired, or a newer one was sent. Choose Sign in with a code instead. |
| “This email isn't on the register of members entitled to vote at this meeting.” | See If you're not on the register. |
