Make captions and clips

On events that list Event recordings, make captions, cut a highlight clip, or publish a recording.

Some events use a different video service from Castr. On those events, the Live channel box shows Event recordings instead of Recordings from Castr. This page shows producers what you can do with those recordings. If you're not sure which kind your event is, ask your JPC producer.

The buttons on each recording

• Publish this replay makes it the replay on your event page.
• Download MP4 prepares a file to download. Choose it again shortly, when it says it's being prepared. It works for recordings under 4 hours.
• Captions makes captions automatically. When they're ready, viewers can switch them on with the CC button.

Make a clip

A clip is a short highlight cut from a recording.

1. On the recording, choose Make a clip.
2. Type the Start and End times, counted from the start of the recording, like 12:30 and 14:05.
3. Type a Name for the clip.
4. Choose Create clip.

The clip becomes a new video. You can publish it as the replay or download it.

Viewer numbers

Viewer numbers shows the minutes watched across the recordings and clips, and which countries people watched from.
