Get answers to common questions

How many can watch, whether viewers need an account, branding, private replays, two rooms and internet drop-outs.

Answers to the questions people ask most about JPC Live Stream Video.

How many people can watch?

The event page has been tested with thousands of people. The video is carried by Castr, the video service JPC uses. For very big events, JPC lets Castr know first.

Do viewers need an account?

No. Depending on the event, they watch straight away, type a name, sign in with an email code, or register first. See Choose who can watch.

Can viewers watch on a phone?

Yes. Everything works on a phone, including voting. See Watch on a phone or tablet.

Can we use our own branding?

Yes. Each event has its own colours, logo, holding slide and message. See Change the event setup.

Can the replay be private?

Yes. The replay follows the event's access setting, and you can set a time when it closes. See Close the replay at a set time.

Can we run two rooms at once?

Yes. Use breakout rooms. Each room that broadcasts at the same time needs its own video stream, which JPC sets up. See Add breakout rooms.

What if the internet drops at the venue?

Use a backup encoder and connection into Castr's backup stream. The producer can switch viewers to it in one click. See Watch the stream lights and switch to the backup.
