Fix common problems when producing
Quick fixes for producers: streams, going live, poll timing, word clouds, recordings and hosts.
This page is for producers running an event. Find your problem, then try the fixes in order.

| "Waiting for Castr" doesn't change | Check the encoder is streaming to Castr. The preview takes up to 30 seconds. Check the Main and Backup lights. |
| "Castr isn't receiving video on either stream" | The encoder has stopped, or the internet at the venue dropped. Restart the stream from the encoder. Viewers see Castr's offline screen until it's back. |
| The main stream stopped, the backup's running | Choose Switch to backup in the red warning. Choose Switch back to main when the main stream is back. |
| Viewers can't see the picture | Did you choose Show broadcast to viewers? It says "Live to viewers" when they can. |
| My poll opened late or early for viewers | Check the Watching choice at the top of the console. In the room waits for the stream delay. This stream doesn't. Check the delay number is right. |
| A rude word is in the word cloud | Open Remove a word from the cloud and choose Hide word. |
| No Castr recordings after the show | Recordings appear a minute or two after the stream stops, if recording was switched on in Castr. Castr deletes them after 3 days. Ask your JPC producer if none appear. |
| The host's iPad isn't updating | Check it says Connected in the Hosts tab. Reload the host page. If the link has expired, cancel it and make a new one. |
| I can't see my event | Sign in with the exact email address JPC added you with. If it's still not there, ask your JPC producer. |
