Enter paper ballot counts
The returning officer enters the paper ballot count for a secret ballot after voting closes.
If you used paper ballots for a secret vote at the venue, the returning officer adds the paper count after voting closes. Paper ballots must be turned on in the meeting settings.
Steps
- Wait for the chair to close voting on the resolution. See Open and close voting.
- Open the Records tab.
- Under Paper ballot count, type the numbers For, Against and Abstain.
- Choose Save count.
Good to know
- Until the count is entered, the result shows "Awaiting paper count".
- If the count needs fixing, a second officer has to make the correction.
- Paper votes show as Paper in the voting count.
