Run a typical show, step by step
What to do and when, from an hour before the event to after it ends.
This is the order most producers follow on the day. Use it as a checklist.
- An hour before: open the producer page. Check the Switches, and that your polls are in the queue. Send the host links. See Turn features on and off, Add a poll or other activity and Give hosts their links.
- 30 minutes before: assign the channel and start the encoder. Check the preview and the Main and Backup lights. See Go live and Watch the stream lights.
- Doors open: use Announce for "We'll start soon". See Send an announcement.
- Start: choose Show broadcast to viewers.
- During:
- approve questions (Check new questions);
- put them on screen or send them to hosts (Put a question on screen, Send a question to a host);
- launch polls as they're introduced (Launch, close and reveal a poll);
- keep an eye on help requests (Answer help requests).
- End: stop the encoder, then choose Finish event. Export the results. See Download poll and activity results.
- After: publish the replay and download reports. See Publish a replay and Read the attendance report.
